Common Questions About Therapy
1. Am I the right therapist for you?
Therapy works best when you feel safe, understood and not judged. If you’re someone who feels anxious, overwhelmed or stuck and you want a therapist who is honest, calm, holistic and practical. We will likely be a good fit.
I work best with adults who are ready for real change, open to self-reflection, and curious about exploring both mind and body.
A short initial call can help you feel if the connection is right.
2. What happens in the first session?
The first session is gentle, calm and structured. You don’t need to prepare anything.
We will:
• talk about what brings you here
• explore what you’re struggling with
• discuss what you hope to change
• answer any questions you have
• agree on a pace and direction that feels safe
Most people finish the first session feeling relieved and clearer about what they need.
3. How does online therapy work?
We meet weekly or fortnightly via Google Meet. You choose a quiet, private space and we work just as we would in a room together.
Online therapy allows:
• flexibility
• confidentiality
• consistency
• comfort
• access from anywhere in the UK or abroad
Many clients prefer online therapy because it feels safer and easier to integrate into daily life.
5. My therapeutic approach
I work integratively - combining depth therapy with practical tools.
This includes:
• psychodynamic and humanistic therapy
• emotional awareness and inner-child work
• mind–body techniques
• nervous system regulation
• mindfulness, grounding and meditation
• holistic support, including essential oils (optional)
My style is warm, honest, focused and grounded in the belief that real change is both emotional and physical.
6. My qualifications
DIPLOMA IN THERAPEUTIC COUNSELLING (ACCREDITED BY CPCAB AND APPROVED BY BACP), UK
NLP, LICENSED PRACTIONER. TRAINED BY RICHARD BANDLER AND BERNARDO MOYA, UK
DIPLOMA IN LIFE SKILLS COACHING (ADVANCED), STONEBRIDGE COLLEGE, UK
DIPLOMA IN AROMATHERAPY FOR MENTAL HEALTH, PENNY PRICE ACADEMY, UK
7. How long does therapy usually take?
It depends on what you’re working through, where you are at and how inner much work you are ready to commit to.
• Short-term support: 6-12 sessions
• Medium-term depth work: over 12 sessions
• Longer-term self-exploration: ongoing
You’re always in control of the pace. There is no pressure, therapy continues for as long as it feels useful and supportive.
8. What if you don’t know what to talk about?
This is extremely common. Many clients start therapy saying: “I don’t know where to begin.” My role is to guide the session, ask the right questions and help you find clarity.
You don’t need to arrive with a plan. Simply bring yourself, that is enough.
9. My common client group?
Adults in their 30s and 40s who feel:
• anxious or emotionally overwhelmed
• stuck in life or burnt out
• disconnected from themselves
• unsure what they feel
• pressured to hold everything together
• ready for honest, grounded inner work
I work especially well with high-functioning adults who struggle quietly.
